Work was good this week.  We were busy - which is always great!  Still a little too much rain for me, though.

Wednesday night 's workout was good.  I was a little tired from the hours that I have been working, but that's all part of my philosophy of tuff-training.  If one can't work - or workout - when one is tired, then where is the  substance?  Anyway, I went up to 70 pound dumb-bells in the Dumb-bell curls and did 5 sets each hand.  I should be ready to move up to the 80's any time.  I am on a quest to get my Dumb-bell curls back up to 100 pounders.  That's where I was a year ago, but I started training some other areas and slipped a little in that movement.  Also, I will start training high-rep EZ-curls for the "Battle of the Biceps" contest which will be in Los Vegas in September.  Based on what I have read about past contests, I have a good shot at winning this.  If the Lord blesses me so, and I give him the praise.

I am on vacation this week.  Mike and Vicki are coming today form Florida to spend the week with us.  We have a big picnic planned at the Park of Roses in Columbus for the whole family to see them and then after that, we will head back to Centerburg with them for the week.

Ann and I mowed and trimmed last night after I got off work - I got home about 6:00pm.  Ann was already on the tractor.  I did the trim and the push-mowing and we got it done.  Afterward, I went down in the gym and had my Friday night workout.  All went well, but I did skip my deadlifts.  It was too late and I will do them today.

Also, I memorized another memory verse this week.  I have been trying to memorize one a week or so for about a year.  It's good to be able to pull up a verse when some happens.  When I have a verse I can fall back on from memory, it helps me get through the situation.

    Thanks Lord, for everything.

Work went well!  I had two runs - total of about 14 stops.  I stopped by the apartment on the way home.  All was well there.  Aaron and Jim were ok.  No trouble out of the guys across the parking lot since the fight.  That's a good thing.

Last night I had a pretty good workout.  I hit legs lightly and shoulders pretty hard.  I pulled some deadlifts, but nothing real intense.  I hit the #3 gripper about 3 or four times and then did some negatives with a newer one.  Everything really felt great.

I was checking out the "Battle of the Biceps" last night on the web.  That's the curling contest that runs in conjunction with the Mr. Olympia.  Man, I was not impressed at all.  I am going to look into entering the one next year.  I think I can win it!

    Thank's Lord, for everything.

  • It's been awhile

Work has been going well.  Starting to pick up and we are getting busy.  Training has been going well also.  I'm getting my EZ-curls back up to par. I hit 100x21 last week and I will hit 110 for the same amount this week I hope.  The Wrist-curls are climbing back up as well.  I will post some numbers later, but I think I am back up to 100 pound dumb-bells for reps with each hand.  Zack and Mike are still coming out every other week to armwrestle.  Zack is getting some better, but he just does not train the way he should.  If a person doesn't train, then that person is not going to be strong!  I don't care how big they are!!

Must train forearms hard!  Must get Wrists freaky strong!  100 pound Dumbbells Wrist-curls for 20 reps each arm!

Popeye forearms are the must!  Close #3 gripper!

    165 pound Dumb-bell Table-curl!

This is Sunday and I guess I will get ready for bed.  Tuff week the week.

Would like to find a mens group close by, but all of the mens groups from the church meet on week-day mornings!  Do not these men have jobs?!  No working man I know can meet at 7 or 8 on a week day morning, stay for an hour or an hour and a half and then go to work.  The only one's who can do this are those who do not have jobs or the elite!  I guess us working stiffs don't count.
